What are you amplifying?
CREATIVE REBEL In a world that operates at a relentless pace, full of noise, opinions, and pressure to conform, it’s easy to lose sight of our own knowing, our unique creative pulse.
Right now you might be feeling a sudden need to reclaim your own inner wisdom, craving space, a moment to think. Good! This is an invitation to examine the art and science of inner listening, your own self-awareness, and how to cultivate your own unique insights.
Think of this as a call to be a creative rebel in your own life: to trust your thoughts and instincts - even when they go against what everyone around you believes or what seems expected.
REJECTION. In my work, clients struggle with knowing. They KNOW what they really want, but second guess their own voice – especially if that want feels contrary to what they have been told is “right”.
We have been taught our entire lives that power resides outside of ourselves. We have learned that keeping other people happy equals safety (especially pleasing those who we perceive to have power and control in our lives).
Brains crave safety, and will throw all kinds of obstacles at us in the form of worry, doubt, over-responsibility, and over-doing – trapping us in a loop of uncertainty, crowding out any potential for finding our own truth and insight – stuck.
Instead of moving toward what we want or following what we believe, we cast around seeking out validation, over explaining our ideas, trying too hard to get approval - all in the hopes of avoiding rejection.
Every time we ignore our own voice and do what other people say we should, we are casting a vote against ourselves, our peace, even our success.
INSIGHT. True knowing isn’t just in the mind – it’s in the way your spirit comes alive. It’s the balance of our body’s signals and nudges. Relying solely on our thoughts risks missing the bigger picture. There is no formula - Insight happens in a flash, it isn’t predictable but is so clear when it arrives. You know those moments – goose bumps, butterflies, calm power. The creative rebellion against status quo and the illusion of safety.
SPACE. So how do you reconnect and tune in more deeply? To catch those moments of insight, we need to make space in our lives. The magic happens in the quiet, away from the noise and pressure. Our most powerful realizations need the empty void to take shape. Quiet doesn’t need to be elaborate or dramatic. It’s just stillness. No music or podcast in your ears. No book or TV to occupy your mind. These moments of space help free us from outside pressures and let our thoughts surface clearly.
Questions for Reflection:
· What is my relationship with knowing? Not knowing? How can I be open to less certainty?
· Where do I fear rejection?
· How do I lack trust within myself?
· How do I value and allow for my own inner intelligence?
· What would be different if I could fully trust and express myself?
Try This: Take a break from needing all the answers today. Ask life to surprise you in all the best ways, and see what happens when you make space for curiosity and let your intuition guide.
Listening to your inner voice isn’t just an exercise in self-awareness; it’s the path to clarity and confidence. It’s what sets you apart. It’s the difference between staying stuck in mediocrity and creating something truly memorable. You might just find the breakthroughs you never knew you needed.
